Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Trabzon, Hotel Check-in, and City Tour (Private Tour)

Upon arrival at Trabzon Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your private guide and our team. We’ll transfer you to your hotel located in the heart of Trabzon, within walking distance of the city’s vibrant shopping streets and social hotspots. After a brief rest and check-in, we’ll set out for an afternoon of exploration. Our first stop will be the picturesque Sera Lake, where you can enjoy a relaxing walk along the lakeshore and take a break for a delightful lunch.

Next, we’ll visit the 13th-century Ayasofya Mosque, a stunning Byzantine structure renowned for its intricate frescoes and historical significance. After exploring the mosque, we’ll head to the Atatürk Mansion, an elegant house decorated with period furniture, where Atatürk stayed during his visits to Trabzon. You’ll also have the chance to stroll through the beautifully designed gardens surrounding the mansion.

Our final stop for the day will be the Trabzon Botanical Park, a 103-acre park rich in plant diversity and social spaces. Along the way, you’ll catch panoramic views of Trabzon Castle, Gülbahar Hatun Mosque, Zağnos Valley, and the Historical Zağnos Paşa Bridge. After the city tour, we’ll return to the hotel, where you’ll have free time to relax until the next day’s adventure.

Day 2: Rize, Fırtına Valley, Çamlıhemşin, and Ayder Plateau Tour (Private Tour)

After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll depart for the stunning Ayder Plateau. On our way, we’ll pass along the coast and reach the dramatic Fırtına Valley. Here, you can choose from a variety of thrilling activities such as rafting, zipline, or swing rides, with your private guide leading you through the valley’s natural beauty. After enjoying these activities, we’ll continue deeper into the valley, where the scenery becomes even more captivating.

We’ll pass through Çamlıhemşin and visit the charming Şenyuva Village, home to the historic Şenyuva Stone Arch Bridge. From here, we’ll make our way to Zilkale, a striking castle perched on a steep cliffside offering breathtaking views. Your guide will share the history and strategic significance of this fascinating site.

Our next stop is the beautiful Ayder Plateau, located 1,400 meters above sea level. The first landmark we’ll visit is the famous Gelin Tülü Waterfall, known for its delicate veil-like streams of water. After enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the waterfall, you’ll have free time to explore the plateau on your own. You can take a scenic walk, sip tea or coffee while enjoying the stunning views, or simply soak in the serene environment.

In the evening, we’ll return to your hotel in Trabzon, where you’ll have free time to relax.

Day 3: Uzungöl and Haldizen Valley Tour (Private Tour)

After breakfast, we’ll depart to discover Uzungöl and Haldizen Valley. Your private guide will accompany you throughout the day, sharing detailed insights into the region’s nature, culture, and history. Our first stop will be the Sürmene knife workshop, where you’ll have the chance to see how these famous handmade knives are crafted by local artisans. You can also purchase one of these unique pieces to take home.

Next, we’ll visit a tea factory, where you’ll learn about the production process of Black Sea tea, one of the region’s most important agricultural products, and enjoy a tasting of fresh Turkish tea.

From here, we’ll travel along the Solaklı Valley, surrounded by nature, as we make our way to Uzungöl. Our first stop at Uzungöl will be the viewing terrace, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the lake and its surrounding mountains. We’ll also visit the artificial waterfalls built to protect the lake from flooding.

During your free time at Uzungöl, you can participate in various activities, take a peaceful stroll around the lake, or relax in one of the local restaurants with stunning views of the lake and mountains. At 16:00, we’ll depart from Uzungöl and return to your hotel in Trabzon.

Day 4: Sumela Monastery, Zigana Pass, and Hamsiköy Tour (Private Tour)

On the last day of our tour, after breakfast, we’ll begin with a visit to the spectacular Sumela Monastery. After completing your hotel check-out, we’ll head to Altındere National Park, where you’ll be surrounded by stunning natural scenery. A short hike through a forested trail will lead us to the Sumela Monastery, which sits majestically on a steep cliffside. Your guide will take you through the monastery’s fascinating history, explaining its architectural significance and religious importance.

After the Sumela Monastery tour, we’ll continue to the impressive Zigana Pass, a historic route that connects the Black Sea with Eastern Anatolia. Known for its breathtaking mountain views, the pass offers a glimpse of the traditional village life that thrives in these remote highlands. We’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant nestled among the mountains.

In the afternoon, we’ll visit the famous village of Hamsiköy, renowned for its natural beauty and traditional rice pudding (sütlaç). In Hamsiköy, you’ll have the chance to taste this delicious dessert while relaxing in the village’s tranquil atmosphere, surrounded by lush greenery and traditional homes. Hamsiköy is not only famous for its cuisine but also for preserving the authentic way of life of the Black Sea highlands.

As our tour comes to an end, we’ll transfer you to Trabzon Airport or Trabzon city center, saying goodbye with hopes of seeing you again on another journey.

 

Our tour ends at Trabzon Airport between 17.00-19.00. We recommend that you buy your flight tickets for the return flight at 20.30 and after.
