This exclusive tour begins at your preferred time from your hotel in Trabzon city center or any designated location. Our first stop is the natural wonder, Altındere National Park, home to the 13th-century Sumela Monastery. After a scenic one-hour drive, we arrive at the park. From there, we take shuttle vehicles to a point near the monastery and walk the final 350 meters along a forested path. As you approach the monastery, you are greeted by ancient aqueducts, stone stairways, and stunning medieval architecture. You can either take a short break at the café near the monastery to enjoy the nature around you or use your tickets to begin exploring immediately. The Sumela Monastery includes areas such as the guard rooms, library, kitchen, guest and student rooms, sacred spring, and the main rock church.
After our visit to Sumela Monastery, we head back to Trabzon city and then to Sera Lake Nature Park. We take a short walk around the lake and enjoy the breathtaking views. Following this, you will have free time for lunch. After lunch, we continue to the Trabzon Hagia Sophia Mosque, a historical site famous for its Byzantine, Caucasian, and Anatolian Seljuk influences and its remarkable frescoes. After exploring the Hagia Sophia, we move on to one of the finest examples of civil architecture in Trabzon, the Atatürk Mansion. With its original furniture and magnificent gardens, the mansion offers a glimpse into Trabzon’s rich history. Nearby, you can visit the handicrafts center where you can purchase souvenirs for yourself or loved ones.
Our next stop is the Trabzon Botanical Garden, covering an area of 103,000 square meters. We take a short break here, enjoying the peaceful surroundings and the variety of plants—over 130 species, including 94 different types of trees and 36 shrubs.
The tour continues with a visit to Trabzon Castle and its surrounding historical sites. We explore the ancient city within the castle, visit the Gülbahar Hatun Mosque, and then cross the Zagnos Bridge on foot. Afterward, we visit the house believed to be the birthplace of Suleiman the Magnificent, followed by a visit to Fatih Mosque, which was once the city’s cathedral.
Finally, we head to Boztepe, offering the best panoramic views of Trabzon. Here, you can relax with a cup of tea while enjoying the city from above. After our visit to Boztepe, our tour comes to an end, and we bid farewell, hoping to see you again on another tour.
